abstract |
An optical detection system that allows easy and rapid alignment of emitters and receivers without increasing the cost or complexity of the optical detection system. An optical detection system (10) includes an emitter (12) that provides a parallel beam of light (16) and a receiver (14) that receives the parallel beam of light along an optical axis (X r ). A converging receiver lens (30) with three planes (40a, 40b, 40c) perpendicular to each other and an axis of symmetry (A) coinciding with the intersection of the three planes and forming an equal angle with each of the planes. and said receiver (14) having a corner reflector (34) for reflecting parallel rays (16) about an axis of symmetry.
