abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily break a drill even when a through hole having a small hole diameter (for example, a hole diameter of 0.05 mm or more and 0.12 mm or less) is provided on a substrate by using a drill having a small diameter. Provided is a backing plate capable of drilling with high hole position accuracy. SOLUTION: In a backing plate 1 for drilling, a lubricating layer 4 is formed on at least one surface of an aluminum plate 2 via an undercoat layer 3. The lubricating layer 4 contains a polyurethane resin having a carbonate structure, and the content of the polyurethane resin is preferably 10% by mass or more and 50% by mass or less.
