PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a living body for a bioelectrode, which has excellent conductivity and biocompatibility, is lightweight, can be manufactured at low cost, and its conductivity does not significantly decrease even if it gets wet with water or dries. Provided are a bioelectrode composition capable of forming a contact layer, a bioelectrode having a biocontact layer formed of the bioelectrode composition, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This is a bioelectrode composition containing (A) a reaction complex of a monomer having an ionic functional group and carbon particles, wherein the component (A) is fluorosulfonic acid, fluorosulfonimide, and A living body characterized by containing carbon particles bonded to a monomer having a structure selected from any ammonium salt, lithium salt, sodium salt, potassium salt, and silver salt of N-carbonylfluorosulfonic amide.
