abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable inexpensive and highly accurate estimation of an air ratio in a furnace. An air ratio estimation system is installed in a furnace to which fuel gas and air are supplied, and detects the amount of light in the first wavelength band of the ultraviolet band output from a flame in which the fuel gas and air burn. A first light amount detection unit, a second light amount detection unit installed in the furnace and outputting light from a flame in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band, and a second light amount detection unit. Calculated with a calculation unit that calculates the light amount ratio between the first wavelength band and the second wavelength band based on the light amount detected by the light amount detection unit 1 and the light amount detected by the second light amount detection unit. It has an air ratio estimation unit that collates the measured light amount ratio with the calibration line and estimates the current air ratio in the furnace. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
