abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable inexpensive and highly accurate estimation of an air ratio in a furnace. An air ratio estimation system is installed in a furnace to which fuel gas and air are supplied, and detects the amount of light in the first wavelength band of the ultraviolet band output from a flame in which the fuel gas and air burn. A first light amount detection unit, a second light amount detection unit installed in the furnace and outputting light from a flame in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band, and a second light amount detection unit. Calculated with a calculation unit that calculates the light amount ratio between the first wavelength band and the second wavelength band based on the light amount detected by the light amount detection unit 1 and the light amount detected by the second light amount detection unit.
