titleOfInvention | Resin emulsion and method for manufacturing resin emulsion |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin emulsion having good film-forming property and capable of forming a film having excellent water resistance. SOLUTION: This is a resin emulsion containing resin particles, and the resin particles are heavy with polymer particles obtained by polymerizing a monomer component containing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer surrounded by a cross-linking reactive polymer. A protective layer formed of a cross-linking reactive polymer covering the coalesced particles is included, and the cross-linking reactive polymer contains a structural unit derived from a reactive group-containing polymerizable monomer having a reactive group, and the cross-linking reactive polymer contains a structural unit thereof. The structural unit contains 1 to 50% by mass of a structural unit derived from a carboxy group-containing polymerizable monomer having a carboxy group, and is obtained by subtracting the minimum film forming temperature of the resin particles from the glass transition temperature of the crosslink-reactive polymer. Provided is a resin emulsion having a ΔT of 1 ° C. or higher and a surface tension of less than 40 mN / m at 25 ° C. measured for an emulsion sample in which the non-volatile content concentration of the resin emulsion is adjusted to 10% by mass.
