titleOfInvention Boiling water reactor and fuel assembly
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiling water reactor capable of holding a spacer in a fuel assembly so that the spacer does not move to the upper part due to a coolant flowing in the fuel assembly during operation of the reactor. SOLUTION: The reactor pressure vessel 2 is provided with a plurality of fuel assemblies 3 arranged in a core 5 inside the reactor pressure vessel 2. The fuel assembly 3 includes a plurality of fuel rods 23, a spacer 25 for bundling the fuel rods 23, and a channel box 21 for surrounding the fuel rods 23 bundled by the spacer 25. The coolant rises and flows. The spacer 25 includes a plurality of cylindrical spacer cells 32 surrounding the fuel rods 23 and a band-shaped band 33 surrounding and fixing the spacer cells 32, and the spacer 25 is held in the channel box 21 by the ascending flow of the coolant. The band 33 is provided with a spacer holding mechanism 31 configured to be used. [Selection diagram] FIG. 1C
