abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a battery capable of manufacturing a battery having excellent discharge characteristics and coulombic efficiency. SOLUTION: A positive electrode having a current collector and a positive electrode active material layer, a negative electrode having a current collector and a negative electrode active material layer, and on at least one of the positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer. A method of manufacturing a battery provided with an insulating layer containing a resin, wherein the resin and a good solvent for the resin are placed on at least one layer of the positive electrode active material layer and the negative negative material active material layer. A step of forming a coating layer by applying a coating liquid containing the above, and a step of contacting the formed coating layer with a coagulating liquid containing a poor solvent for the resin to solidify the coating layer. A battery comprising B, a step C of washing the solidified coating layer with water, and a step D of drying the washed coating layer to obtain a composite of at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode and the insulating layer.
