abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer and an analysis method capable of easily supplying and recovering an inspection liquid to a desired inspection region and accurately mass-specturing a material. An analyzer according to this embodiment includes a stage on which a sample can be placed. The first supply unit defines an inspection area surrounded by the sparse liquid material by supplying or applying the sparse liquid material on the sample. The second supply unit supplies the test solution into the test area on the sample. The collection unit collects the test solution in the test area.
