abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a propylene-based block copolymer containing a propylene-ethylene-based copolymer with high catalytic efficiency while reducing gel without increasing the number of reactors more than necessary in a multi-stage continuous polymerization method. SOLUTION: In a first step, a crystalline propylene-based polymer is polymerized in the presence of a specific solid catalyst component and an organic aluminum compound using one or more gas phase polymerization reactors, and in the subsequent second step. Specified in the method for producing a propylene-based block copolymer that polymerizes an amorphous propylene-ethylene-based polymer in the presence of the crystalline propylene-based polymer using one or more vapor-phase polymerization reactors.
