abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an addition condensate capable of forming a polymer scale adhesion-preventing coating film on an inner wall surface of a polymerization reactor and improving the productivity of a polymer. SOLUTION: The addition condensate is an addition condensate of an aromatic compound and a carbonyl compound, and the addition condensate has two structural units derived from the aromatic compound and one structural unit derived from the carbonyl compound. An aromatic compound dimer bonded via an aromatic compound and three or more structural units derived from the aromatic compound are each bonded via one structural unit derived from the carbonyl compound.
