abstract The present disclosure includes at least a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the second. The test method described in the experimental section, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises a polymer-based material selected from the group of polyacrylates and the second pressure sensitive adhesive layer has a thickness of 250 micrometer or less. According to, the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains silica nanoparticles having an average particle size of 400 nm or less, as measured by dynamic light scattering (DLS) technique, with a thickness in the range of 250-5000 micrometer. It relates to a multi-layer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly that has and is substantially free of particulate filling material. According to another aspect, the present disclosure is directed to an article comprising a medium surface energy substrate and the multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly described above adjacent to the medium surface energy substrate. In another aspect, the present disclosure relates to the use of the multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly described above for bonding to a medium surface energy substrate or a high surface energy substrate.
