Promotes physiotherapy that may include a wearable display, wearable sensors located at various locations of the user, a virtual reality environment, virtual characters, and a processor that includes executable instructions configured to provide therapeutic activity on the wearable display. Systems and methods for doing so. Virtual characters interact with users to provide at least form feedback and positive enhancements. New instances of virtual reality environments with identifiable differences can be generated in response to measured or partial completion of therapeutic activity. Changes in the virtual reality environment can provide the user with a continuous indication of progress during the physiotherapy program. The system may include a connectable device including a display that duplicates a portion of the image of a wearable display, allows interaction within a virtual reality environment, and allows selection and modification of therapeutic activities.
