The drug device sensor (sensor) includes a main body, a front wall, a rear wall, an audio sensor, and a plurality of pressure sensors. The body includes a bottom surface to which various sensors are combined. The anterior and posterior walls have mirror symmetry in up to one plane, thereby defining a single orientation for the sensor to attach to the drug device. The anterior wall contains a retaining clip that attaches to the ledge on the drug device. To detect the secure attachment of the sensor to the drug device, one pressure sensor detects the pressure when the sensor is fixed to the drug device. Another pressure sensor detects the press of one or more dosing buttons and confirms the priming of the drug device. The audio sensor detects inhalation and confirms the administration of the drug device. In effect, the sensor determines that a dosing event has occurred. |
