Systems and methods for regulated clustering of gene regulatory proteins at specific target genomic loci are disclosed. The technique allows the formation of liquid droplets that are closely related to genomic composition. The technique can be used to disrupt the intrinsic nuclear structure and to nucleate synthetic membraneless aggregates. The technique can also be used to induce or detect mechanical stress within the genome. |
