A method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition having a drug-containing core surrounded by one or more metal oxide materials is provided. The method involves (a) loading particles containing a drug into the reactor, (b) applying a vapor or gaseous metal precursor to the particles in the reactor, and (c) using an inert gas to react. Performing one or more pump purge cycles of, (d) applying a vapor or gaseous oxidant to the particles in the reactor, and (e) using an inert gas to perform one or more of the reactors. Includes a series of steps in performing a pump purge cycle. The temperature of the particles does not exceed 35 ° C. This produces a pharmaceutical composition comprising a drug-containing core surrounded by one or more metal oxide materials. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
