abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for growing a bacterium of the genus Ficalibacterium, which exhibits an excellent proliferative action of a bacterium of the genus Ficalibacterium. Further, the present invention provides a composition for increasing butyric acid production, which exhibits an excellent effect of increasing butyric acid production. Further, the present invention provides a composition for improving the intestinal environment, which exhibits an excellent effect of improving the intestinal environment. The composition for growing a bacterium belonging to the genus Ficalibacterium of the present invention is characterized by containing at least one selected from vegetables of the genus Brassica and fruit vegetables of the genus Squash. It may be composed as a beverage composition containing at least one extract, squeezed liquid, ground product, or ground product selected from Brassica vegetables and squash fruit vegetables.
