abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently gasify biomass at a relatively low temperature while suppressing the generation of tar. SOLUTION: A semi-carbonized step of heating biomass to 300 ° C. or higher and 350 ° C. or lower in an inert atmosphere substantially free of oxygen to obtain semi-carbonized biomass, and a catalyst component containing at least potassium in the semi-carbonized biomass.
