Methods and kits for preparing radionuclide complexes |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a complex containing a radioisotope of gallium for use in a radiotherapy method or a medical imaging method. An optional amount of gallium radioisotope solution obtained directly from a gallium radionuclide generator, with a pharmaceutically acceptable buffer, in an amount sufficient to raise the pH to a level in the range of 3-8. It comprises the step of selectively adding to the composition containing a pharmaceutically acceptable basic reagent, wherein the composition can chelate the radioactive gallium within the pH range and at a moderate temperature. A method that further comprises a capable chelating agent, wherein the chelating agent is optionally associated with a biological targeting agent. [Selection diagram] None |
