PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a gypsum and a gypsum dehydration system capable of eliminating clogging of the filter cloth and suppressing deterioration of the quality of gypsum obtained by dehydrating the gypsum slurry. SOLUTION: This is a method for cleaning a filter cloth that separates water from a gypsum slurry discharged from a flue gas desulfurization apparatus, and is a first cleaning step in which a mixed solution of a hydrogen peroxide solution and a strongly acidic solution is brought into contact with the filter cloth.
