abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical reaction apparatus capable of mass synthesis without increasing the size of a reactor when electrolytically synthesizing using an enzyme electrode. SOLUTION: This is an electrochemical reactor for producing a target chemical substance from the substrate by utilizing the oxidation-reduction reaction of the substrate, which comprises a reactor provided with an enzyme electrode and a counter electrode, and the enzyme electrode and the counter electrode. The enzyme electrode and the counter electrode are connected to the potential control device by a conductive material, and the enzyme electrode and the counter electrode are connected to the potential control device with respect to the amount of current generated per unit time (1 second).
