abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent or translucent glass-ceramic material having rapid ion exchange possibility and high fracture toughness. A lithium-containing aluminosilicate glass-ceramic article has a microstructure containing crystals having the longest dimension of less than 100 nm. Fracture toughness of 1 MPa ・ m 1/2 or more, Ring-on-ring strength of at least 300 MPa, A compressive stress layer formed by ion exchange with a layer depth (DOL) of at least about 30 μm, and lithium with a thickness of 1 mm and a transmittance of at least 85% or more of light over the wavelength range of 400 nm to 1000 nm.
