Electronic smoking articles with improved storage of aerosol precursor compositions |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic smoking article presenting improved moisture control of a liquid reservoir housed in the electronic smoking article. A liquid reservoir 144 may utilize a liquid transport element to deliver an aerosol precursor composition to an aerosolization zone. The cartridge 104 includes a reservoir layer 144 comprising a layer of non-woven fibers formed in the shape of a tube surrounding the inside of the outer body 126 of the cartridge. The aerosol precursor composition is maintained in the reservoir layer 144. The liquid component can be maintained adsorbently, for example, by the reservoir layer 144. The liquid reservoir layer 144 is fluidly connected to the liquid transport element 136. The liquid transport element 136 delivers the aerosol precursor composition stored in the reservoir layer 144 to the aerosolization zone 146 of the cartridge 104 through capillary action.
