abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method and a storage medium capable of processing an intravascular image and determining an orientation in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A method for intravascular image processing is determined by determining ROI (region of interest) based on the step S200 of acquiring intravascular data of a part of a lumen and the characteristics of the acquired data. Based on the determined angle, step S210 to determine the angle (orientation) for displaying the initial longitudinal view of a part of the lumen based on the region of interest, and step S220 to extract the feature of interest from the ROI.
