PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microfluidic sample analyzer configured to receive a cassette containing a sample therein and perform analysis of the sample. A microfluidic system is a fluid flow such as a cassette 20, which is operatively coupled to one or more components, a pump or vacuum device which may be configured to apply positive pressure or create a vacuum. A source 40, a valve system 28, a detection system 34, and a temperature control system 41 may be included. The component may be external or internal to the microfluidic device and is one for controlling the component or system of components, such as the control system 50, user interface 54, identification system 56, external communication unit 58, etc. Alternatively, it may include a plurality of processors.
