abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To describe a barrier coating effective against oxygen and harmful substances when coated on a flexible base material. The barrier coatings of the present invention contain lower molecular weight PVOH and EVOH copolymers. Coating formulations containing these copolymers conveniently allow medium to high proportions of organic solvents in the aqueous mixture, thereby producing quick-drying coating formulations.
