An assembly 100 includes a porous polymer membrane 104 and a support layer 102. The porous polymer membrane 104 contains a plurality of pores. The support layer 102 includes a plurality of openings 106. Assembly 100 has an acoustic impedance with a phase angle of +45 degrees to -45 degrees over a frequency range of 50 to 20,000 Hz.
