PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing a natural killer cell having a tumor-killing function and proliferating it. SOLUTION: A method for producing natural killer (NK) cells by using a three-step proliferation and differentiation method together with a medium containing a stem cell mobilizing factor, and tumor cell proliferation using NK cells and NK cell populations produced by the above method. A method for suppressing an individual having a cancer or viral infection, and a method for treating an individual having a cancer or viral infection, which comprises administering the NK cells and the NK cell population produced by the method to the individual having the cancer or the viral infection.
