abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recorder having excellent barrier property. SOLUTION: In a heat-sensitive recording body having a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye, a coloring agent and an adhesive on a support, and a protective layer containing an adhesive on the heat-sensitive recording layer, the adhesive is a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin. The degree of polymerization of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin is 1500 or more. It is preferable that the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin is composed of only one of the partially saponified or completely saponified unmodified polyvinyl alcohol and the partially saponified or completely saponified modified polyvinyl alcohol.
