PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing and treating a multibacterial infection. A method comprising administering an effective amount of an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to an epitope produced by at least one of the bacteria in a multibacterial infection. For example, an antibody that specifically binds to Staphylococcus aureus α toxin inhibits the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, thus causing Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aureus.
