PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of suppressing the differentiation of stem cells and supplying the cells in a large amount. The present invention is a method for suppressing the differentiation of stem cells, which comprises (1) a step of applying the stem cells to a polymer porous membrane, and (2) a step of culturing and proliferating the stem cells. Here, the polymer porous membrane has a three-layer structure polymer porous having a surface layer A and a surface layer B having a plurality of pores and a macrovoid layer sandwiched between the surface layer A and the surface layer B. It is a quality film, and the average pore diameter of the pores existing in the surface layer A is smaller than the average pore diameter of the pores existing in the surface layer B, and the macrovoid layer is bonded to the surface layers A and B. The present invention relates to the method having a partition wall, the partition wall, and a plurality of macrovoids surrounded by the surface layers A and B, and holes in the surface layers A and B communicating with the macrovoids.
