abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in loss due to heat of a winding and to suppress local overheating. According to an embodiment, a plurality of coil pieces, each of which is partially housed in a plurality of winding slots provided in an iron core, are provided, and a plurality of wire conductors constituting each coil piece have a predetermined shift pitch. In the winding of a rotary electric machine, which has a dislocation region that displaces in and a non-dislocation region that does not displace in a certain section, and has an insulating portion around each coil piece in order to secure insulation between each coil piece and the iron core. A rotary electric machine in which a heat conductive member having a higher thermal conductivity than that of the insulating portion is arranged in a gap between the insulating portion and the wire conductor or a gap between the wire conductors existing in the dislocation-free region.
