abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective treatment method for an inflammatory lesion of rosacea in a subject. A treatment comprising topically applying a topical composition comprising 0.5% to 1.5% by weight ivermectin and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to the affected skin area once daily. The method. Topical treatment with ivermectin once daily is a method of treatment that is significantly superior to twice daily topical treatment with 0.75 wt% metronidazole in reducing the number of inflammatory lesions.
