PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-purity chlorinated alkane. SOLUTION: A chlorinated alkane is contacted with chlorine in a reaction zone to produce a chlorinated alkane and a reaction mixture containing the chlorinated alkene, and a part of the reaction mixture is extracted from the reaction zone.
