abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polymer electrolyte membrane having excellent proton conductivity even under low humidification conditions and low temperature conditions, and also having excellent mechanical strength and physical durability, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the same. To do. SOLUTION: Layers formed by an aromatic hydrocarbon-based electrolyte are laminated, and a layer formed by an electrolyte satisfying (i) and (ii) described below is applied to at least one outermost layer of the laminate. A laminated polymer electrolyte membrane having at least one composite layer in which an aromatic hydrocarbon-based electrolyte and a porous reinforcing material are composited. (I) All aromatic rings contain at least one electron-attracting group. (Ii) A segment containing an ionic group having a structural unit represented by the following general formula (S1) and a segment containing no ionic group having a structural unit represented by the following general formula (S2) are each 1 A block copolymer containing more than one.
