PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RNA-induced system for probing and mapping nucleic acids. A method for detecting, probing, mapping, and target sequencing of a target nucleic acid using a guide RNA and a Cas9 protein is provided. A method of detecting the binding of a guide RNA / Cas9 complex to a target nucleic acid, wherein the guide RNA contains a 3'tail sequence capable of hybridizing to a probe is provided.
