abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thiol resin (A) capable of realizing developability, colorant dispersibility, solvent resistance of a cured film and a high elastic recovery rate, and a photosensitive resin composition. SOLUTION: A thiol resin (A) contains a mercapto group and a carboxy group, and has two polyfunctional thiol compounds (a-1) having three or more mercapto groups and a reactive group (RG) having reactivity with the mercapto group. The polybasic acid anhydride (a-3) is added to the addition reaction product (M) with the polyfunctional compound (a-2) having more than one. The addition reaction product (M) is an addition reaction product of the mercapto group of the polyfunctional thiol compound (a-1) and the reactive group (RG) of the polyfunctional compound (a-2). The ratio of the total number of moles of the reactive group (RG) of the compound (a-2) to the total number of moles of the mercapto group of the compound (a-1) is 0.20 to 0.60.
