PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vent assembly having a vent housing and a method for producing the vent assembly. SOLUTION: The vent housing 110 is coupled to the vent housing to define a mounting structure 120 and a ventilation path 150 extending from the mounting structure to the environment outside the vent housing. A membrane 160 is provided over the ventilation path, and a coalescing region 180 is defined inside the ventilation path between the mounting structure and the membrane, and is separated between the coalescing region and the membrane. A vent assembly 100 that defines a region 170 and defines a discharge path from the coalesced area through a portion of the ventilation path within the mounting structure.
