titleOfInvention | Fuel assembly |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly capable of improving control rod value throughout an operation cycle. SOLUTION: A fuel assembly 10 arranges a plurality of fuel rods 11 bundled with fuel spacers in a channel box 16. The plurality of fuel rods 11 includes a plurality of fuel rods 4 and H2 supported by a lower tie plate and an upper tie plate, and a plurality of fuel rods 5 supported by a lower tie plate and not supported by an upper tie plate. The fuel rods 4 have the same first fuel effective length as the fuel assembly, and the fuel rods H2 have a second fuel effective length shorter than the first fuel effective length. The fuel rod H2 forms a He filling region above the upper end of the second effective fuel length. A plurality of fuel rods H2 are arranged in each portion of the outermost peripheral region 35 facing each inner surface of the two side wall portions facing the control rods 33 among the four side wall portions constituting the channel box 16. The formation of the He-filled region can improve the control rod value throughout the run cycle. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
