abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film suitable for realizing both good hand-cutting property and high reworkability while having a polyester-based base material. A surface protective film X of the present invention has a laminated structure including a base material 11 as a transparent base material and an adhesive layer 12. The base material 11 is a uniaxially stretched polyester-based base material in the width direction of the base material having a thickness of 75 μm or more. The Elmendorf tear strength of the surface protective film X in the substrate width direction is 0.5 N or less, and the Elmendorf tear strength of the surface protective film X in the substrate machine direction is 1 N or more.
