abstract The disclosed light emitting device includes a light emitting source configured to emit primary blue light and a wavelength conversion element configured to convert primary blue light into secondary light. The secondary light has a correlated color temperature (CCT) in the range of 1600K-2500K and a color rendering index (CRI) in the range of 40-60, and the wavelength conversion element is a red phosphor with a peak emission wavelength of less than 620 nm. Includes materials and green phosphor materials with peak emission wavelengths greater than 530 nm. The device exhibits a melanopic / fortopic ratio of less than 0.25 and / or the radiometric power fraction of light having a wavelength of less than 530 nm can be less than 0.1.
