abstract | The present invention relates to a process for oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane, which comprises (a) subjecting a stream containing ethane to oxidative dehydrogenation conditions and (b) at least one of the effluents resulting from step (a). Steps to remove water from the portion and (c) optionally (b) ethylene, unconverted ethane, carbon dioxide, optionally unconverted oxygen, optionally carbon monoxide, and optionally acetylene from step (b). The steps of removing unconverted oxygen and / or carbon monoxide and / or acetylene from at least a portion of the containing stream and (d) ethylene, unconverted ethane, and carbon dioxide resulting from step (b) or (c). Partial and partial carbon dioxide from at least part of the stream containing unconverted ethane and carbon dioxide resulting from step (e) step (d) and the step of removing ethylene from at least part of the containing stream by complex separation. Includes a step of selectively removing and (f) recirculating at least a portion of the stream containing unconverted ethane and carbon dioxide resulting from step (e) to step (a). |
