Provided are an anode composition and a method of prelithiation of the anode. For a lithium ion battery including a silicon-based active material, a binder selected from polyamic acid and polyimide, and a lithium salt that can be decomposed into lithium oxide and/or lithium peroxide at a temperature of 200 to 400°C. A novel anode composition is provided. Methods of making the anode, prelithiating the anode, and lithium ion batteries including the anode are also provided. |
