The present invention is a rubber composition made from at least one elastomer, an inorganic reinforcing filler, a coupling agent for coupling the elastomer with the inorganic reinforcing filler, and a cross-linking system; said inorganic reinforcing filler comprising: − CTAB specific surface area S CTAB in the range of 40 to 300 m 2 /g; − Difference between BET specific surface area S BET and CTAB specific surface area S CTAB of 35 m 2 /g or more; − relative to the mass of silica S Aluminum content W Al in the range of 0.5 to 7.0 mass %; −1.5 or more, aggregate size distribution width Ld measured by centrifugal sedimentation; and −CTAB specific surface area obtained For a S CTAB value and a given aluminum content W Al , the amount A is defined by the following formula (I), A=[d50]+0.782×[S CTAB ]−8.524×[W Al ] (I), where [d50] is the numerical value of d50 expressed in nm; [S CTAB ] is the numerical value of S CTAB expressed as m 2 /g; [W Al ] is , A numerical value of W Al expressed as% by mass relative to the mass of silica S; the amount A is an average measured by centrifugal sedimentation such that the relational expression (II): A≧253(II) is satisfied.
