Microfluidic delivery device and method for upwardly dispensing a fluid composition into air |
abstract |
Microfluidic delivery devices and methods of dispensing fluid compositions therefrom are provided. The microfluidic delivery device comprises a housing electrically connectable to a power source, a cartridge releasably connectable to the housing, and a fan connected to the housing. The cartridge has a reservoir for containing a fluid composition and a microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir. The die is configured such that substantially all of the fluid composition exits the microfluidic die in the horizontal direction or in a downward direction relative to the horizontal direction. The fan is configured to generate an air flow that joins the fluid composition dispensed from the microfluidic die and redirects the fluid composition upwards relative to the horizontal direction. Has been done. |
