abstract |
A flowpath assembly and a gas turbine engine are provided. The flow passage assembly includes a combustor dome positioned at a forward end of the combustor in a combustion zone of the gas turbine engine, a combustor portion extending through the combustion zone, and at least a first turbine stage of the turbine section of the gas turbine engine. A single outer wall including a turbine portion extending therethrough. The combustor portion and the turbine portion are integrally formed as only one unitary structure. The flow passage assembly includes an inner wall extending from the forward end of the combustor at least through the combustion zone. The combustor dome extends radially from a single outer wall to the inner wall and is configured to move axially with respect to the inner wall and the single outer wall. Other flowpath assembly and gas turbine engine configurations are provided. |
