abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a tagged nucleoside and nucleotide by a simpler and faster liquid phase synthesis method than before, a method for producing an oligonucleotide using them, and selective removal of the alkoxyphenyl derivative portion. Methods, as well as Tag agents and the like used in them are provided. A tagged nucleoside or nucleotide having a Tag moiety shown in the following partial structure. (In the formula, R independently represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 10 to 40 carbon atoms. M represents an integer of 1 to 5. When m is 2 or more, a plurality of alkyl groups are represented.
