abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene. SOLUTION: The pentachloropropane, hexachloropropane, which contains at least 99% by weight of 1,1,1,2,3-pentachloropropane and is other than trichloropropane, tetrachloropropane, 1,1,1,2,3-pentachloropropane. A composition comprising at least one compound selected from the list of additional compounds consisting of heptachloropropane, dichloropropene, trichloropropene, tetrachloropropene, pentachloropropene and hexachloropropene, wherein the compound contains no more than 500 ppm by weight.
