Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which a temperature rise due to the occurrence of a short circuit at an exposed portion of an interface between an insulating layer provided on a positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode current collector is suppressed. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, and an insulating layer. The positive electrode current collector has an exposed portion of the positive electrode current collector at at least one end. The insulating layer is located at a boundary between the positive electrode active material layer and the exposed portion of the positive electrode current collector. The insulating layer contains an inorganic filler and resin particles in a mass ratio of 75:25 to 25:75. The compressive strength of the resin particles is 74 MPa or less.
