titleOfInvention Ziegler-Natta catalyst and its manufacture
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst capable of producing a high molecular weight copolymer having a uniform morphology, a narrow MWD (molecular weight distribution) and a low melting point. According to the present invention, an MgCl 2 * mROH adduct is pretreated with a compound of a group 13 metal and an internal organic compound which is a bicyclic ether, and further treated with a compound of a transition metal of groups 4 to 6. The present invention relates to a solid MgCl 2- supported catalyst component for producing an olefin polymer, and the production of the above-mentioned catalyst component. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a Ziegler-Natta catalyst containing the solid catalyst component, a Group 13 metal compound as a co-catalyst and optionally an external additive. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method of using the above catalytic components in the production of olefin polymers, especially ethylene polymers having desired properties.
