abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a propylene terpolymer without lowering the catalytic efficiency even if the copolymerization ratio of an α-olefin having 4 to 8 carbon atoms increases in the gas phase polymerization of the propylene terpolymer. SOLUTION: A propylene terpolymer is produced by copolymerizing propylene, ethylene and an α-olefin having 4 to 8 carbon atoms in the presence of a catalyst by a continuous vapor phase polymerization method in which the heat of reaction is removed by the heat of vaporization of a liquid monomer. The method is a. The liquid supply rate (L / (L + G)) calculated from the supply amount (L) of the liquid monomer and the supply amount (G) of the gas monomer supplied to the polymerization reactor is 0.3 or more, and b. A method for producing a propylene terpolymer, wherein the temperature difference (ΔT = Tp−Td) between the polymerization temperature (Tp) and the dew point (Td) of the mixed gas of the polymerization reactor satisfies 10 ° C. or less.
